The Wall Street Journal <a href="http://online.wsj.com/article/BT-CO-20100112-703260.html?mod=WSJ_latestheadlines">thinks this trend will continue</a>, albeit on a smaller level.</p>
<p>Gone are the days of InBev&#8217;s $52 billion takeover of Anheuser-Busch, replaced by deals worth significantly less.</p>
<p>&#8220;The trend toward global consolidation is continuing and there is a significant amount more of it that will happen,&#8221; Benj Steinman, editor of Beer Marketer&#8217;s Insights, told the WSJ.</p>
<div>Companies seeking to buy include Diageo PLC, which owns Guinness, and Japanese brand Kirin. And, of course, <a href="http://news.draftmag.com/2010/01/07/were-buying-a-brewery-whos-with-us/">us</a>.</div>
